History
The story of Crudelio is the story of a wine yet to be written.
It began in 2014 when the intuition of a dear agronomist friend suggested we visit an ancient stone farmhouse from the 1100s, suspended on a small hill near a water source, "Fonte al Pippi", from which it takes its name. .
The adventure begins there, and it is there that the Sangiovese vines were planted from scratch, in a portion of land used by the previous owners as a simple artichoke farm.
It is in the Land of Maremma, with a capital M, that Crudelio has its young roots. More precisely in Scansano in an area where the hilly landscape merges with the horizon, losing itself in the blue waters of the Tuscan archipelago.
And it is there (42°41'27.1″N 11°17'48.0″E) that since 2016, the young Sangiovese cuttings have received our care, day after day. Treatments that begin with respect for the environment, continue in compliance with the regulations, carried out by team work that creates that harmony necessary so that every single grape captures, once in the bottle, the unique flavor of the land of Maremma of which we are proud.
You can tell it but tasting it is a whole different story!
